Passive house
The site for this passive house was carefully chosen to allow complete south orientation of the building – one of the key principles of a passive house.
The house has a total area of 440 sq.m. spread across four levels. A compact volume was chosen for even better results regarding energy efficiency.
Architecture
Livable spaces such as living room and bedrooms are placed on south and serving spaces such as bathrooms and kitchen are placed on north. The attic is used as technical space for the ventilation system and the batteries storing electricity from PV panels.
Additional solutions were implemented in order to achieve the passive house standard – the house is airtight and thermal bridge free, has energy efficient windows and extra insulating layers.
